Timing is Everything
Aim for the best timing in stock market trading. It is the only option for a successful stock market investor.
In order to raise capital and invest in the business, companies issue their stocks and the public may then buy and sell. The price varies depending on the supply and demand. This is what a stock market trader takes full advantage of.
The business of stock market trading can offer better profits to the investor compared to ordinary stock enterprise. The stock market offers a wide variety of stocks to choose from for any investor to go on with stock trading. There is always a moving stock out there amongst the thousands of others registered.
However, a careless attempt to proceed with stock market trading can produce undesirable result. Big losses can be incurred if the market trend is not properly predicted. Small profits would also frustrate the purpose of doing stock market trading. An uninformed stock trader may also end up waiting for that decisive moment that would never come.
Market Timing
To avoid the adverse effects of poor stock market trading, investors use market timing to forecast when the market will change its course. Market timing presumes that the decisive point can be predicted ahead. The direction of the market is predicted through a thorough examination of the price and economic data.
Best Timing
The consistency of such trend prediction is subject to many factors, that is why the aim of any would-be successful investor is best timing. At first glance, market timing sounds like a guaranteed way to make it big. This however requires exertion of considerable effort and persistence in carefully studying the various factors.
Avoid mere speculating. Speculating is a desperate move when the investor hasn’t done his homework.
Investors also buy stocks because they got a hot tip from someone. Most of these tips however prove to be false, as they are mostly given by parties with vested interests.
Market timing requires involvement in research to know the company’s history and calculate the trend by charting the movement of the stock’s price. This involves analysis of the value of the stock to come close to accurate in predicting the trend. This is ideal in developing standards for when to buy and when to sell for the investor must accurately settle on the proper time to sell. One must also correctly determine when to regain, reselling the stock bought when it reaches its peak value. This way, the maximum profits can be realized.

Is timing everything when serving a meal?
My father-in-law is coming to our home for the first time tomorrow-we just got married this past May, and will be over at 6 for dinner. I am serving an appetizer, the meal, and dessert. How long in between each course do I wait to serve each?
no

If you give your father in law lots of entertainment then time will go quick and you can take long….but if he has no entertainment i would take up to an hour max…otherwise he will probally start getting bored.

Just follow the hot before cold rule and you will be fine..

When your FIL arrives at 6:00 have the appetizers and drinks ready to serve. Allow for enough time to chat and get caught up on each other’s lives. Plan on serving dinner around 7:00 pm and make it a nice leisurely meal. Dessert and coffee can be served about 45 -75 minutes after the meal is over.

Wait until everone has finished. Do not rush your fam to eat.

Timing is very important when serving a meal. You want hot foods to arrive at the table at the right temperature and everything to be fresh.
After serving the appetizers, wait at least 10 minutes before serving the meal. The objective of an appetizer is bring out the appetite, not squelch it.
After serving the meal, wait 10 minutes before the last person is finished with dinner, then serve dessert (don’t forget the hot, fresh coffee too). People like to rest between dinner and dessert to let their meal digest and have some conversation.

Timing is most definitely everything. If you wait long enough, so people are hungry enough then anything they eat will taste fantastic. Works for me every time

Deciding when to begin serving food to your guests at a dinner party is an extremely important aspect to the overall success timing is everything. You want him to leave feeling pleased and satisfied and not like he was either rushed or had to wait too long to eat. "Hors d’oeuvres from 6:00 until 6:30. Dinner served at 6:45.
followed by dessert

If you are serving wine with the appetizers you should let them at least drink a glass (to whet the appetite for dinner) and then, ask "is everyone ready for dinner?" then move to your dining table. When everyone is finished then remove the plates or start clearing asking before doing so "does anyone want any more or anything else, I have some dessert for you in a bit" Clear your dishes and when the dishes are where you want them. Ask "does anyone want some coffee/tea (if you serving that)…..by time you get the coffee together you can serve dessert. As you see, you can determine when it is time for the next course by asking these questions, which any guest would interpret as invitation.

Oh yeah, one other thing…..Don’t forget to enjoy yourself and don’t stress anything. The more relaxed you are the more they will be.

My general rule of thumb is to have the apps out and prepared when your guests arrive. Then you have time to greet them without there being a lull. Let people get comfortable, etc. Once the appetizers are almost finished then begin bringing out your meal. Let everyone finish eating before you begin clearing plates. Then clear and straighten up the kitchen and begin making a pot of coffee and tea things. Bring out the dishes you need serve dessert, sugar, cream, lemon, etc. Then the coffee and dessert.
